Darya
Dadvar is a talented singer who knows how to make the link
between the Iranian traditional music and the European classical
music. Her art is to marry the rhythmic popular songs of Persia
with the technical methods of classical western music.
She
sings in different Iranian dialects. Through her performance,
she invites us to a musical trip around Iran and the countries
that are situated in the borders of Iran. She sings the songs of
Azerbaijan, Kurdistan, the northern regions of Iran and
Afghanistan. Darya has been brought up in an artistic family
in Tehran capital of Iran. Her first teacher was her mother who
is an art director in theatre field. “It was my mother who has
been encouraging me to follow music, singing and poetry as a
passion and a profession in my life,” she says with so much
respect for her mother. The poetry has an important role in
Darya’s songs. Her favourite poets are Emad Khorasani, Hafez,
Fouroug Farokhzad, ...
Later
on she left Iran and decided to study music in France. She
followed the music studies in the conservatory of Toulon and
Toulouse. She got her diploma in 2000 in the National
Conservatory of Toulouse on baroque and lyric music. Since
2000, she has been performing on the international scene in
different countries in Europe (France, Sweden, Germany, ...),
United States of America, Canada, Iran, ... In this concert
she will be performing the poular music of Iran. The warm,
divine and deep voice of Darya invites you to an imaginary trip
to a world where the dreams can become the reality. Through the
musical trip with Darya, you can travel around Iran and let you
be guided by the popular and traditional songs arranged by this
talented artist.
